Team Huntsmith Dog Training Seminars
The creators of Team Huntsmith, Ronnie Smith and his cousin, Rick Smith, conduct bird dog obedience training seminars in the USA, Canada and other countries. These clinics provide a wealth of knowledge to potential professional dog trainers and single dog owners. Seminars teach participants everything in the dog training methods for heeling, quartering, introduction to birds, whoa
breaking, introducing to the e-collar, training to retrieve, and of course, how to safely introduce a dog to the gun shot.
The Foundation Level teaches students how to build a point of contact in order to develop a conditioned response for obedience and working dogs on birds, honoring, and the trained retrieve.
The Intermediate Level demonstrates how to transition from mechanical to remote cues, steady dogs on birds and honoring, and develop handling skills.
The Advanced Level shows participants how to transition from two points of contact to one point of contact and the importance of training to the point of learned behavior. This level also helps participants with any advanced training problems. These seminars are a great method for a participant to learn more about a dog's behavior and further their ability as a trainer/handler.
